I call this gallery my ‘mixed media assemblages’ collection. I make these pieces with found bits and pieces of metal, wire, wood, objects and basically anything else I encounter that I believe adds something to the story behind the piece.
When I start a piece, I may have an idea in mind or I may not – but I’m often pleasantly surprised with the result. More importantly, I do my very best to enjoy the process of creating the piece rather than focusing on what I want it to ultimately look like.
Repurposing the ordinary.
My assemblage pieces allow me to stretch my creativity by identifying new ways to combine ordinary and discarded objects.
I love the challenge of telling new stories through random bits and pieces that others wouldn’t look twice at.
